When the well's dry, we know the worth of water - Benjamin Franklin
"Drought" is a theatrical trailer written, produced and directed by final year college student Ella Gleeson.
In this film we meet a family of anthropomorphic rabbits who work as gardeners to keep their precious home blooming with life. This family is Lacy, the mother of her three children Angus, Buster and Todd. The family live a fulfilling and nourishing life together, until of course, the alarming rise in the sun's heat causes a drastic change in their daily routine: there is no water to keep the garden alive.
With a heavy heart Lacy will venture into the wild to seek an answer to this endless heat, entrusting her oldest son Angus to look after his brothers until her return. Awaiting her long absence the brothers decide to take matters into their own hands and search underground for signs of water. What they find will change them forever...
The brothers discover many secrets in the underworld, an enchanting biome that is bounded by ancient magic. Todd, the youngest, is entranced by this very magic and somehow is able to control it.
Can they save Earth? What will they discover of the catastrophes that humans have created? In this story we will encounter all sorts of underwater secrets, the detriments of our mistakes and the ultimate call to heed our connection to the elements that keep the balance of life intact.
